I’ve been working with wood for about 40 years, mostly furniture and woodturning projects. In turning wood I try to create forms which accentuate the natural features of the medium.
I was born in 1940, moved to Ukiah in 1950 and finished high school in 1958. Attended Humboldt State intermittently from 1960 to 1967, finishing with a degree in Zoology. My interest in Marine Science developed when I started diving in 1954 and I was lucky enough to find employment involving underwater marine research for about 35 years. Retired from the National Marine fisheries lab in Tiburon California in 1995. My wife, Georgianna, and I moved to Piercy California in 1996 where we garden, weave, woodwork and swim.
