Celia Price

After I finished serious studies in art history at Stanford, I realized I must paint. I continued studying and painting for many years in Fresno, Marin, and Mendocino in local schools or art centers, and on Tomales Bay with Clayton Lewis.

I've experimented in many mediums, always most concerned with the color. Subjects vary from landscapes to very high color portraits of blues musicians.

I illustrated the books “Music Festivals in America” and “Wildflowers of Marin”, and published in Daniel Smith Catalog. I create and print The Burd greeting cards

I've shown in Marin County, Redwood City, Portola Valley, Eureka, San Rafael, Mendocino and Willits, California.
